In a yahoo photography group I belong to this attempt to sell on ebay has been lightly discussed and I am the first person to say I have had my fair share of BAD photos but I have never tried to sell something like this...
I don't think the seller is the photographer. Look at his other auctions, mostly celebrity photos, some of them pretty old. I think he is just selling off a stack of prints and this one somehow got in there.
It's also possible the photo IS worth something (or at least worth the selling price to someone).
If you do a search for "Perth Amboy Tottenville Ferry" there's a ton of stuff out there on the net about it.... Maybe someone is wanting to relive the past, or give their parent a unique present, or...
