Thanks for the comments all. The photo was a second or so. The ball held in place for about half the exposure then pushed up and out of the hole for the last half of the exposure. I shot a bunch of these. Some are cool, some show fingers, I learned that if your ball moves too fast it looks like a ghost or is not visible at all. Was fun.
What I found most interesting is that because we think of a golf ball falling in the hole, unless you consider how the photographic process works the viewer assumes that the static picture is of the ball going in not out. Lot's of fun...
