I plan to go to the Balloon festival in October, I was just wondering if anyone had any must-see suggestion in the area? I just love balloons and am so excited to attend this year!

I'm green with envy. I love New Mexico but have never been there during the balloon fest. If you can spare the time, drive down to Socorro and then over to the VLA (50 miles west). The radio antennas are very photogenic. If you can be there at sunset, there are some cool possibilities.

Dress warmly! :) It is very chilly in the mornings.
Go to Old Town and/or take the Turquoise Trail. Take the tram up to Sandia Peak - there are so many things!!

Yep - VLA is great. The size, the space, the quiet - something you have to experience. Since you're down there, you might check out the Bosque. A great place for birding, especially in the fall...

Beautiful photo of the VLA. I'm an aerospace engineer, so I must see it in person someday.
