just got my 602 and just been out taking some pics. these looked on the lcd but on my comp they look slightly blury, any ideas how i can prevent this, would it be best to have flash up all time

What are the cam settings? 6 or 3 mp, what level of in cam sharpening is set? Give us some of your cam settings too so that we can help determine if it's the cam, lighting or settings.
For what this suggestion is worth (I don't know anything about your photography experience), ensure that your grip of the camera is solid (support the lens portion with your left hand), and press the shutter release button firmly but carefully. I learned with mine that if I pressed the shutter release button too quickly (there is an initial resistence threshold), camera shake resulted in blurry photos.
It also helps to use the self-timer, a tripod, hold your breath while pressing the shutter release button, or all three. Once I improved my technique and started using the self-timer and tripod, the quality of my photos improved greatly.
I also learned that the LCD is good only for checking the composition and exposure. It's not large enough for you to confirm that focus is okay too. You could use the zoom button in view mode to check finer details in the photo.
I agree with mcrael, this is most likely to be user error -- ie, camera shake. It is hard to say "tripod" enough! And, like virtually any camera, the LCD is just a guide and cannot be relied upon for anything other than composition.
thanks for the help guys, like i say im a newbie, only had it 24 hours lol which eexplains why i havent read the book yet he he. anyway i think it my be shake like you say, the light was getting low but i thought it was sufficient for the portrait and i want told by the cam that i needed the flash on. i guess its all down to trial and error its slightly different to my old 2800z
