We see people everyday who are cute and are beautiful people. You give them a label: AUTISM, then their world falls apart. Parents no longer want their child to play with them. Schools, will not let them in, no matter how functional. Even if funding is there, they will not make the calls to get an assistant. As parents you have to fight for them to even have a chance.
Last night, he was crying when I was reading his bed time story, he is only 4 years old, soon to be five next month.
I asked what was wrong, he was crying so hard.
He said, "No one will help me. I want to die."
That hurt so much.
I just held him until he fell asleep.
