animals, food, rides (including a helocopter tour of the area)...it's an absolute all-day shootfest! come on and join us!!!
i'm a little swamped at the moment, but in the next day or so i'll be able to post up some discount ticket information, etc.
no kidding, folks, if you like shooting outside of a studio, outside your backyard, this is the place to do it. there is everything you could want to shoot--candids, lights, action, animals, kids, food, colors--the list is endless! all you need is lots of memory, batteries, and comfortable shoes.
I wish I could make it too, but we're having the annual "Mountain Magic" festival in town that day and I will be one of the merchant/vendors there (selling my photography). :-( I'll be thinking of y'all though! Drat! Grrr... Damn festival...
I'd absolutely love to come, but my brother is getting married that weekend. Yes, for those who are counting... that's 2 weeks to the day after I get married. Brothers.

oh boy! just got back from a 'scouting trip'...whoever makes this trip will not be disappointed!
even though there is a ton of stuff to shoot all day (especially candids, animals, etc), the real deal starts just about sunset when the lights start coming on...OMG, what a friggen shootfest!
and it looks like linda and danny might be able to make it after all!
Had a lot of fun at the VA State Fair, even though my time with Skip, Linda, and Dan was limited as I joined my family for most of the day.
My wife lost her camera (Canon A75), but the story ends well as a good hearted person found it and hung on to it long enough for it to find it's way back to us. Hooray!
It was fun watching the others shoot, and I have to admit I had a bit of camera envy with them slinging around those very nice DSLR's! ;^)
Anyway, I pulled a handful of shots that were ok and put in this VA State Fair 2005 folder if you care to take a peek. I held off on posting as two of them were used in challenges this past week.
