Since I get frequent comments about not participating in the challenges much (see my bio) I thought I'd share some of the pics I took on the recent London DPC GTG.
I'd really appreciate some feedback on this collection of images - if you see one you're able to offer some positive or negative feedback on, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.
It looks as though you all had a great day, what a super idea. You have some really nice pics and I want to thank you for sharing them. Number 11 is my favorite of the bunch. Nice photo journalism.
I like the one of the guy with the mohican sitting with his back to us, and also the guy leaning over on the travelator.
Some of the others are good snapshots but don't really hold much merit beyond being reminders of the day - they don't grab me, as someone who wasn't there, and make me want to keep looking. A couple where they're clearly not snapshot type images kind of lost me - the bit of the boat for example. It was clear you wanted to isolate that bit and show us something, but I can't tell what and it wasn't a remarkable image.
The colours in the ones of the guy with the balloons were distracting and he seemed a bit creepy for some reason.
I hope these comments don't seem too harsh - when asked to critique pictures I always tend to come up with a list of things I *don't* like about them, and it's not like I'm any more accomplished as a photographer.

You're absolutely right that some are just snapshots of those who attended the GTG - I wanted to record that aspect of it.
The guy on the "travelator" is my husband, Pete. :D
How funny - I always think the balloon guy is kind of creepy too - I've seen him there a number of times.
As for the boat - I guess I just loved the combination of textures and colours - that wonderful wood, the taught rope, the speckled side of the boat and the painted and textured ledge. It's absolutely OK that they didn't do anything for you though! :D

Kavey, you have some very interesting shots there and it looks like you had a lot of fun. I'm sort of mixed regarding the shots. Some I like and some really don't do much for me but that's to be expected. 11 Eye, 28 Tube, and 43 Riverside Walk are among my favorites, most for there interesting perspectives. There are a few such as 05 Eye that appear to be a little overexposed (in the clouds) or are slightly flat and they could use some more post processing. It's a good mix and the people shots are fun to look at too.
Good job, Kavita! I just looked at mine - they are very similar (the London Eye, the Big Ben, the most photographed glass in London, etc.) After all, we went to the same places. What I enjoyed most about the GTG though is the bonding aspect of it and the chance to see the Lichfield and Studio Malik exhibitions at the National Portrait Gallery, and talk the staff that matters. Thank you very much for organising that - you deserve every credit for making it possible!

Can I ask, which one image would you say you like best from the collection?
Definitely mohican guy - which is odd given that he has his back to us. I also like #11, #18 (might have liked it better if you'd zoomed in on the people so we could see them better), and #28.
The pictures of the Eye at the start are perfectly good images but I've seen the same ones from everyone who's been there with a camera with astoundingly little variety so they've become a bit dull.
