I've seen several photos on this site where all but 1 color was removed (i.e. a black and white photo with a single color used for effect). I remember a specific one from a while back... it was picture of a face. It was B&W, except for the eyes, which were red. I'd like to learn how to do this... any tips?
For example, I'd like to take this pic and remove all colors except green. Then do it again, where the only color I leave is red. Just for kicks.
Are you using Photoshop 7? If you are, adjustments/hue&saturation then you can see it says "Master" and now you can change it to red and/or blue and desaturate them.
Under Image, go to Adjust, then to Hue/Saturation. You'll see a drop down menu that has Master as the default selection. Under Master is a list of colors. Decide which color(s) you want left in the image, and reduce the saturation on all the other colors.
I have Adobe PhotoDeluxe, and when I choose the Hue/Saturation adjustment, it doesn't let me choose a specific color. I guess I can't do this sort of shot. Bummer, cuz I really love the effect and would love to play around with it.
