Hey Adriano-What's up with those guys that hang around the streets of Rio and pretend to park cars for tips? Do they actually harm your car if you don't tip them?

That's not only in rio, that's all around the country!
They're all around my house, cz i live near the place where ppo go get their drivers licenses (forgot how that's called).
Every1 of these guys has a spot, be it a street, one side of it, a corner, and on, got the idea?
Most of them cahrge in advance, so they can "watch" ur car.
they are called flanelinhas. Some of them charge you when u get back to ur car. If the feel tyou haven't payed enough, they throw the money at the car, or at ur face. Believe, that happens!!!
They can scratch the car, kick doors, break windows, some of them get pretty rough!
Usually, when out in the town at night, they show up at night charging more than private parking lots. that's just crazy.
I got involved at a fight once, cz of that, the guy threw a rock at the rear windows of my friends car, we stopped, but he didn't leave. the car had windows tints, so he couldn't see how many ppl were inside. We were 5. Beat the crap outta him. It sounds a bit "cruel" but they deserve that, bunch of assholes, lazy MOFOS. That's the scum of the country! them and the politics!!!!
Like I said without Wal-Mart I would have to drive around 20 miles to go to the grocery store. I will still buy from them. You can't boyucott them and make them go away. They have all the stuff we need.

We have Sharan Osbourn at the moment - the general advert says they are cheap and usually ends with some slapping their bottom with the rattle of change.
there's a place called "snax" right next to my apartment, in Tampa. They would have everything I needed for my daily necessities! food, beverage, cigarettes, calling cards and stuff.
Then for more stuff, i'd go to u-save!

In Brazil, wall mart will reduce their price if the other shops have promotions!

The trick is to get there early to get a good parking space - you can snap people going in and out... :)
Another side of the argument is the amount of tax revenue that a single store can generate for the community, which is considerably much more than a “mom and pop store” can generate – even in the aggregate. This is accomplished even with the tax advantages offered by the community to Wal-Mart.
Don't get me wrong, I love to hate Wal-Mart as much as the next person (my chief complaint is the environmental hazard that a store brings with it to the community – pollution from rain water run-off from the parking lots, trash, etc.). However, having lived in many small towns (in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Illinois) and being subject to many "mom and pop stores" that basically could charge whatever they wanted for any given item because of the lack of competition within the town, I feel the argument against Wal-Mart for underselling the competition – albeit on a global scale – is disingenuous.
The corporation creates jobs; the employees get a paycheck, pay taxes, and buy goods and services with their paychecks at Wal-Mart and other stores. Now these are not the best jobs, but why are so many people willing to apply for such a limited number of available positions? A need is being met.
With that said I still try to shop locally and am willing to pay more for it. That is all that can be done. That is all that I can do.
Remember, Wal-Mart Five and Dime was once a “mom and pop store” in Bentonville, Arkansas. I would suspect the ones complaining of the actions of this one-time “mom and pop store” would not hesitate to switch places with the majority shareholders of the corporation.
