I vote for something early (morning through afternoon). I have a long day on Sunday, Aug. 28th (you all are of course, invited - as it's open to anyone). I am going to Bats Day //www.batsday.net. I'll be there with friends. Dress in black! Heehee.
Anyhow, for Saturday, Aug 27th, where do you want to go? What's happening in LA Area that weekend?
I may actually be down there that weekend for my nephew's birthday party, but I don't think we can get down to Anaheim then ... we're probably going later in the week. They ought to make that site a bit easier to read.

I actually wouldn't mind doing the queen mary again since I now have a fifty and 17-35 lenses, though I don't know if that can be done from morning to midday.
Sorry I can't make that date as I will be hiking Mount Whitney... We have room if anyone is interested in tagging along, but I doubt anyone wants to lug a dslr and lenses up there.
Or, we could go to the LA Arboretum. I talked to someone who went last weekend. She said the summer flowers (non-native) are really amazing. She recommended it. It could be hot though. I am up for whatever.

I don't know how many people check the website, but if the gothic community actually checks the page it may help if they have your picture for the 'Photo Team' (on the About page), as they make it sound like anybody taking pictures [that isn't listed on the page] should be feared.
edit to clarify: I meant the photo outing was a possibility, not the Bats Day :P - I'll look forward to seeing your shots though Arie :)

And, as for Sunset Junction... I realized I can't afford to go. Disneyland is costing me too much, and I haven't saved up enough yet to get in. So, I won't be able to afford $10, plus food and parking. So, I am thinking something simple... free... wandering around LA again somewhere. Want to go to Little Tokyo or to Burbank?
Sounds like a ton of fun, Tom - you guys sure do leave the immediate LA area (which is kinda nice) quite often! I'm still not sure if I can go, but the Saturday itinerary sounds good. The link for the Chinese Food Festival is the same as the rodeo, which I'm guessing is incorrect ;)
