Next month, a perfomance of Spencer Tunick will take place in my city (Barcelona). Do you know Tunick work? I think his photographys are art, but other people think that are pornography. What do you think about it?
From what I just saw by looking .... I do ont understand tha tmuch how it could be called pornography as, in the one I looked, there is not a single hin of sex. Nude people in streets. nothing else.
I cannot say I like it, one is interesting becasue the idea is very special .. but then .. it looks always the same to me.
The difficulty of have 100 naked bodies lying like dead in the streets of a city does not make the photo more interesting to me.
I did not look a lot, maybe the message of a war/post war messages with those bodies, but once you got it once it looks a little too much a 'system' to me.
Now to be part of the picture at one event is probably an interesting experience , but I do not think it makes a nice picture.
It's certainly not pornography. It's different I guess. Don't really see the point in his shots. Just hundreds of naked people laying in the streets. What's it supposed to mean? I think if you can't tell the meaning of it, what's the point of it?

anyway I did check out his work... it is not porno, but wow how weird... all the naked people lying in symetry.... it's really kinda cool in a weird and surreal sort of way...
