I shot this one of my friends 11 year old son during the matrix shoot this weekend... I thought it came out really good and would like to know what you guys think of it.. please critique and comment.. thank you :o)

I don't think you should be posting "outtakes" at least until the challenge has closed and the voting has started, and preferably not until after the voting is OVER.
I don't think it's fair to those still working on their own submissions, nor to those waiting to have their images voted on. Essentially you have people's second and third "entries" competing for people's attention.
Outtakes should be for comparison with your ACTUAL ENTRY after it has been evaluated -- right now, you are in effect soliciting advice as to whether to enter an alternate entry. You are free to do that by PM or email, but please not here in the open forums...
GeneralE, I agree wholeheartedly with your comment. In fact, i wish it would become site policy as periodically we have these threads and the usual admonitions. And even though people may say that their actual submission is way different from what they are posting here, they are indeed soliciting feedback that might help them tweak their actual submission.
Also, in the last couple of challenges i have seen submissions to challenges with text and even, unsubtly, the submitter's name on them. I wish this no-no would be spelled out under the basic submission rules that you plainly see when submitting rather than having to go to the rules. Yes, i know people need to tick off the 'i have read the rules' check box but they may do so without actually reading the rules again.

At least some of these were people hurriedly submitting before the deadline, and who accidentally submitted the wrong version of their file. But if there's text on a no-text-allowed challenge, just request a DQ, vote AS IF IT'S LEGAL, and move on...

I couldn't agree more, and I really wish it was site policy to hold outtakes until after voting. Posting outtakes before voting has even started is ridiculous. What's the hurry?
This is coming from someone who did a bunch of hard drive shots 4 hours before that other Matrix outtakes thread appeared :-|
no offence was intended guys.. thats why I said no spoilers. the shot does not resemble my entry in anyway... but I could see how it might affect someone elses decision... that is true... I guess I could have just posted it as a pic I took with no reference to the matrix...

No offense taken...just trying to slow down what I see as a possibly unhelpful trend. Since we have so many complaints about the lack of comments on entries, it seemed to me that that is where people's attention should be directed.
