Absolutely General, I believe in training courses for all gun owners... Not mandatory training, but you're and idiot if you buy a gun without learning how to use it first.
As for the cop, you can see has her finger on the trigger and discharges the gun at an angle about a foot in front of the suspect's head, probably just barely missing him and scaring the crap out of the cop who was handcuffing the guy!
In this situation it's reasonable to keep the gun pointed at the suspect, but as the threat diminishes (ie. cop putting the handcuffs on), she should have removed her finger from the trigger and kept it outside the trigger guard. Unless there was something wrong with the gun, it's pretty lame to discharge it like that (very lame). |
