Nice shots, I actuall flew into Chicago and Drove to Milwaukee today and drove right by the botanical garden. I whish I had time to stop by there. Maybe my next trip I can get by there
The pictures are very beautiful. "Purple Star" looks like it has mountains in the background, and I KNOW there are no mountains in Chicago ... weird! I also take it from your picture smelling the apple blossoms that you don't suffer from allergies?
I find some of the borders a bit too colourful - IMHO, let the flowers speak for themselves, maybe just a black or white mat. Also, the words at the bottom (name of flower to left, sig to right), they are left and right indented, but, at least in some cases, not the same on both sides, which, again IMHO, makes it look a bit unbalanced.
Lucky you to be out and about at the Botanical Gardens! Here it's been raining, and it doesn't look like it'll stop any time soon (sounds of crying in the background ...)

I went to the Bellevue Botanical Gardens after work yesterday and got some nice shots - used my tripod each time because I can't seem to get a good photo without it. Here's my favorite from yesterday. IrisThere is a photography contest going on at the Bellevue Gardens so I hope to go back there several times more. Yesterday was the first time I have ever been to that place -- photography has really opened my eyes.

I tryed 3-400 shots on flowers these days and learn this:
Avoid sunny day for flower shots,use f2.8 or smaller if possible,if you are using f8 or higher than you need a tripod!
Watch for other flowers on background for possible distructions!
