Here's a quote from the article:

I found this particularly interesting. I have had this very thing happen to me so many times and it's frustrating... especially when I can't easily go back and do it over.
I see a lot of this in other's photography as well. I usually try to comment on it when I do see it. There are quite often smaller compositions within a certain view that could make a much more interesting photograph...
