I have to agree with eloise... The shot with the rocks adds a realism and wholeness. While not the perfect backdrop, I definitely don't find them overly distracting. Perhaps a shot against the sand (finer grains)?

I like the one with the rocks too. It makes it a lot more obvious what it is.
