A new experience for me. I shot my Wooden shot last night and submitted it this morning. Monday morning, just a few hours after voting begins, we leave on vacation and don't return until the following Monday night. I will miss nearly the entire voting period and will miss the results posting at 11 pm (my time) next Sunday night. I will miss the update button all week, though DPC's servers will no doubt welcome the relief from the load of my nearly constant updating during the week.
What will it be like, a week without the update button, when I've got a very good (ahem, it's EXCELLENT) photo submitted? Will I dream of the challenge? Will I seek out public libraries in New Mexico to check on my photo? Will I forget all about it while we're exploring the geography, geology, and culture of New Mexico??

Thanks for the reminder Heather. We just did that with Andrea's zoo shot last night so I'm all primed and ready to get it sent in as soon as the voting period starts tomorrow night.

My daughter's zoo photo was validated and that statement does not appear below it as I've seen on other validated photos. Maybe only when a DQ request has been made??

This is correct, we only add the note if people are questioning your photo. If your photo gets a valid DQ request, or people are questioning your photos legality in comments, then we add the note.
