Thanks. No filters, handheld camera. I'd just jumped out of the car while driving home.
The sky is dark 'cos there's a rainstorm just over the hill. Everything else is bright 'cos of the sun.
I did underexpose by 1EV to saturate the colours a bit more.
great shot.... it's always nice when you get an unsual visual effect like this... the dark grey clouds really bring the foreground to life, it makes for a really great contrast. Excellent shot.

Someone should do a tutorial on this - counter-intuitive but a really useful trick.
Great shot pinback - as ever. had it been me I'd have played with positioning the horizon higher and lower - but that might well have been the way it ended up. Did you take a portrait-oriented shot as well - make the sky bigger kind of thing?

Thanks. Not of that scene - I had a hedge in front of me, a hedge on the left of me and a wet road to the right of me with cars hurtling along it at 70mph. And I was late for my tea! :-)
I drive past the same place every day and what I find really interesting is that the next morning, I didn't recognise the farm - it looked completely different in normal daylight, so that the roof became the dominant element and the whole scene was much less attractive.
