I made it back from my vacation to Rhode Island. I spent 10 days there and I was also able to see my son who's stationed at the Navy Submarine Base in Groton, Conneticut. I took 1504 photos, which I don't think is too excessive for a 10 day trip. My ultimate goal was to shoot every lighthouse in Rhode Island (being born and raised in R.I. helped, I knew where they all were!). I didn't accomplish that, but I did accomplish my secondary goal. That was to shoot every light house on the mainland. I got all 19. I missed the two out on Block Island, about a 45 minute ferry ride from the mainland, due to time constraints (I had to visit family). I also got to meet Laurie Gaddis (A1275) and we shot some photos in Apponaug Cove. She wasn't able to come out on my brother's boat with us because she had to work. :(
Anyway, here are a few shots of the trip. I spent a couple hours uploading photos last night into my portfolio (the folder "Rhode Island 2005"), so please feel free to have a look. :)
