If the dpi's are not in sync...you will get larger/smaller photos than what you are thinking you are "collaging." But that will b apparent when you put them into the collage frame.
Myself...I use my Hi-Res (300dpi) photos and resize it to the size I want (being sure to keep the 300dpi), then a duplicate layer over to the collage (which is in 300dpi). Be sure to resize the original back up to it's original or DON'T SAVE, unless you want to lose data.
Another way would be to open the original (keeping the dpis all matching of course) duplicate it over to the collage, and then using the resize/scale to adjust to the size you want. I recently discovered that I can actually put the inches size in one of the boxes instead of messing with percents. DUUUH!!!!! (C: I have not experimented with the two...so not sure which would give better quality, but I would imagine the first would. Anyone??
