Is there a rule in place that prevents us from using programs such as NeatImage or PhotoClean? I can never seem to get the post processing quite right and usually end up making the picture look worse, but these programs are quick and easy and seem to do the trick pretty well.
NeatImage is specifically allowed in the rules, and there is a reference to other stand-alone programs whose purpose is to improve the photorealistic qualities of the image. You might prepare versions with and without processing, and send a note to the admins with a link to info about that specific program.
Just remember to apply the effect to the whole image, never to a selected area.
Great. Thanks for the information. I just used NeatImage today and I have to say that it's pretty impressive. The reasons I asked is because NeatImage allows for "Fine Tuning" which seems to be like spot editing. But it's good to know it's allowed. Thanks!
