Stayed over Fourth of July weekend and took a ton of pictures, finally got my favorites processed and thought I'd share. The park is really amazing, though I don't think it's as established as yellowstone or yosemite there are tons of things to do there, and far too many things (is that possible?) to take pictures of. Any comments are welcome!

I think this shot is an area where we hiked all the way up to almost the peak way in the back ground. If you look to just off center towards the right, that snow area that comes from between 2 peaks is where we went.

You probably took the Hallet Peak hike that goes up to FlatTop Mountain, Hallet Peak, Otis Peak and Taylor Peak. there are glaciers between each one of these peaks. Just depends on how ar ya hiked along the top.

I recall parking in a somewhat large parking lot, going up a paved path some ways then we hit dirt. no too far we came up on a small lake, hiked a bit futher uphill and another lake, then uphill a little bit more to another lake. we went around the lake them up the side to almost the peak. I dont have my photo album with me or I would find a few of the photos to refresh my memory

That sounds about like the same one we did, only we stopped at the second lake. If it was the same hike, it would have been Mills lake, Black lake, then one other I cant remember the name of. Its a really peaceful hike too once you get past Alberta falls and away from all the crowds of people
James. Sounds like the Lake Haiyaha (sp?) Trail, You start a Bear Lake, go past Dream Lake then Emerald Lake (I may have the names switched, its been a long time since I hike the trail), then Haiyaha Lake. Haiyaha is deep turquoise blue in color and surrounded by large boulders.
beautiful pictures...I miss my home state :( Don't get me wrong, my new home in KY is awesome but when you're born and raised in them there hill no place else can replace them.
