A technical question: is there a foolproof way to tell if a digital photo has been edited? here's why I ask: you're required to submit photos when registering horses, and currently most associations will not accept digital photos, because of the ease of editing (of course I've submitted digital on kodak paper and they didn't figure it out). Life for them would be soooo much easier if they could accept digital and be assured that it hasn't been doctored.
Other than simply looking at EXIF data (which I think can probably be altered), are there programs that can scan an image and tell you what's been done to it (or at least that SOMETHING has been done)? Obviously if the image has been printed there's no way they could tell, but if the actual digital data is supplied?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
