im a newbie to all this and came across this site with hope of gettin feed back and help with what i see complicated issues
firstly i dont know how to say this right but some photos you see on here look smooth and natural while others can look just like a photo is there a way of putting this well type of glare onto a photo to make it look professional?
lol im not sure what i mean but thanks for the fast reply i have a 2 megapixel fuji 2800 zoom which does what i want its just when i look at your pics paige they seem so clear is it jst more mega pixels
like i said im new to all this what are better unsharp mask settings my pics seem lifelike while most other people seem well softer
The more mega pixels the better, in general, but you can get a nice photo with a two mega pixel camera. Sharpening can be over done so you have to be careful with that filter, maybe you are overdoing the unsharp mask. When you say lifelike do you mean sharp? Getting examples of what you are describing would be a great help :) Does your camera have in camera sharpening capabilities?
my camera doesnt have many manyal features i think what you have said has helped once i find what i mean il message you paige thanks for the help my next task is to learn to put borders in such as have seen on here think black edges round the photo
i have in front of me photoshop elements 2 photoshop7 and picture it digital image pro edition. not used any yet im that new my girlfriend works at dabs.com so im on a software trial lol i bought all three
I would recommend concentrating on 1 package, and I would seriously consider Photoshop Elements as it is an "easy" version of Photoshop Pro. There are some very good tutorials out on the web (I'm not at home and don't have the bookmarks on my laptop) and I'd suggest spending a little time learning the basics. Little adjustments go a long way toward improving photos.
Depends - if you plan to do this as a hobby, Elements for sure. If you plan to do this a LOT and as a bit more than a hobby, why not just learn Photoshop and get it over with? Depends on what you're looking for.
