I woke up at 5a.m. this morning (too early for a college student) to take photographs of birds doing a certain "thing". I can't tell you because that would give away my photo and idea. But anyways, I go there to the site. I waited and waited and waited while drinking my starbucks coffee and eating a pop tart. Almost an hour later, I see the birds I wanted to photograph. I reached for camera and turned it on. But it wouldn't turn on, I suddenly realized I left my freakin' battery in the charger. Ahhh! I'm so mad at myself. Now I have to wake up early tomorrow morning again. =(
...or, taking the best picture in the world and then finding out your date/time stamp reset with the power outage AFTER you get home - hence non-valid challenge entry.
What's worse is when you get up at 4am, drive 2 hours to get to a location, take two shots and then have your battery die on you! The 2 hour drive back seemed to take forever :(
Did this myself, not for the first time, just over a week ago. Woke up before dawn, drove all the way to the end of the Cape to photograph "beauty", found I'd left the battery in the charger. Sigh. The absolute worst part was none of the restaurants out there would even open for 2 more hours and I didn't have anyhting to read in the car. So I just went home again.

Best argument I've ever heard for buying a cam that uses ordinary batteries...
