I've noticed that there are several of us DPCers who live in the Central Illinois Area....would anyone want/be willing to have a Get ToGether for the Central Illinois Area this summer?
We could hit Allerton Park in Monticello, something near the Illinois River (Starved Rock?), something a little farther south (Rend Lake?).....
Or are there any other places?
Really I'm just curious if there are enough of us that would like to spend some time taking some pictures and having a picnic or something.

Sorry, five years too late ;-) I lived in CU for way too long, then moved to San Diego in 2000 with a few extra letters after my name. :-)

Lucky you!!! I came down here from Chicago for school and have gotten sucked into the infamous CU black-hole :-) Someday I hope to return to normal life, as opposed to college town life...but until then, it isn't too bad.

Hahahaha, I'll be up there on the 11th for a bridal shower! I could do sunday if sunday works out....
or steal the Chicago GTG idea and go back to the Botanical Gardens. Tried to hit those this past weekend when I was up there for a wedding but didn't go with the right shoes! Walking around in the hot sun for 2 hours in skirt and heels with camera is NO FUN!
