Hi all,
I want to give a photo print to my hairdresser as a going away gift (she's closing shop and moving way north). When I asked her what she would like (she has seen my portfolio), she replied "I want a photo print that best represents you." Well now... I am a very diverse individual - I like a lot of things, like to do a lot of things, and have a lot of different aspects to my personality.
I have less than a week to complete this "challenge" that has been set for me. Other than an obvious "self portrait" which I do not want to do (would my hairdresser really want a picture of me on her wall?), do any of you have any ideas on what I could do?
Hmm, as soon as you start listening to us about what represents you the most, you're going to spoil it. You know yourself the best. This is a good opportunity to really clear your head and shoot some stuff that you really like. Whatever you like best is what you're going to be most successful with.
Good point, but I was interpreting her request as something that represents my personality. And since none of you know me personally, I guess that might be hard for you to respond to.
Your photos show a love for bold simplicity (is that possible?). They are like visual haiku poems. So as you look around, I'm sure you'll find either something you love that you'll represent in an elegant and simple way, or you'll come across a photo you've done that expresses your personality.
