I'm not sure if I support it but the idea has merit....
Unmoderated forums would not be such a great idea imo. Trolls will still post to moderated forums. If people need to whine, complain, and attack each other, they can find an outlet that is detached from this site so as not to further degrade the voting/commenting process or hurt/offend dpc participants.
I have to agree with Lisa here. Trolls will not be content to post to unmoderated forums where only people like them will read their words. Trolls get their thrills from being where they are not wanted, and getting a rise from otherwise calm, helpful and friendly people. There are many outlets for people to let off steam, please do not let DPC become one of them. This is one of the things that makes this site so refreshingly different.
It's not just that one forum will be unmoderated, but threads that get out of hand in other forums will apparently be able to be moved by moderators to the unmoderated one.
I think it's a great idea, not really for outright trolling, just to have somewhere that the edgier discussions can go so people who don't want all that negativity can avoid it.
