I submitted a photo for this weeks challenge, but it isn't appearing on my home page...I got the confirmation by email. What gives?

I had that exact thing happen to me. I got the confirmation email but I have no photo.

Your photo will not appear on the front page until the first update, which is due at approx 12:57 site time.

Why does it update at such a weird time?

I think it updates about once per hour, but probably waits for a certain (low) level of server activity so the exact update time shifts by a few minutes.
