I stated in a thread last week that I went to a really cool place to take some photos and I would share this after the minimalism challenge was over. Of course, the first day I went to take the shot for the contest, the weather was terrible. Here's the shot:
The next day, after the contest was on!, was much better. I think I would have scored better with this one:
Anyway, these are the Wickham Statues in Palmyra, Tennessee. Mr Wickham's hobby was building these wonderful statues. The shame is that over the years, idiots have tore the heads and arms off and vandalized the whole area. Check out the photos I took of the statues in my portfolio, and compare them to this web site:

I almost wish I didn't find this site because when I compare the statues then to the statues now, my stomach turns thinking that people could actually ruin something so nice that a person worked so hard on. Anyway, I just thought you'd like to see this! :) Ray |
