I was at the beach today, and happened upon 2 huge whales migrating near the pier. I really wanted to get a good shot of them for the Fauna challenge, but I just couldn't get them to pose, hold still, and say cheese. Or to stick more than just a little bit of their bodies out of the water at a time. Anyway, here's a picture of what I did get of one of them (picture isn't very high quality--he was only up for a moment, and I had to just shoot away to see if I got anything good).

Would have been great, though, huh, if I'd gotten one of those huge tail shots like National Geographic!
