Just wondering if anyone out there has posing ideas or advice for photographing a large group (about 60) people at the same time??? We are shooting a wedding in May, and her family portrait will have 50 people in it. The most I have ever done is 28, so I'll be doubling that! Any good resources? Tips? Tricks? Thanks!
get really far away and possibly above. it depends if it is a posed shot or a crowd shot. either way, that's a big number and will require creative positioning.
maybe you should try to make panorama shot! But you need to take few times same thing so you can later match the best one for connection pics into one panorama.
Also, better to have layers of people, ie some sitting on the ground, some sitting in chairs behind them and some standing behind them, this way you can get closer in and get more detail then you would from a far back/wide angle perspective.
If you can get somewhat above them, this will help you avoid rows of people and will allow you to create groups instead.
Also, I suppose that you don't have much say in the matter, but the ony ones who should be wearing white are the bride and possibly the groom--or everyone. If other have white or light clothing only here are there, it often messes up your levels.
