For photographers the first challenge has come to a close. With a total of 9 photographs submitted, it gave us time to get our systems ready for new features on DPChallenge. Hopefully with our next challenge, we can attract a bit more of a crowd.

Ummmm, I'm a little confused about the second challenge, regarding table tops. Is the idea to look at the contents of the table, the table itself, or the view looking out from the table, or something else? I guess I'm feeling that the topic should be somewhat more specific.
The details probably don't do a great job of explaining the current challenge. A table shot is simply a shot from a different perspective than one would normally see: on to the table.
Giving examples seems to degrade creativity. We've since re-worded the challenge criteria on the home page. Hopefully it should clear things up for people.
Yeah, from day 1, people have been trying to figure out the meaning of the challenges. Thanks for bringing this up. I'm going to dig in to the earlier forums. Thanks for the smiles.

It was likely a test thread to see if the system was working. Although, I would think they would have reset it after the test, but what do I know?
It is interesting that challenge descriptions are given so little thought after all this time. I know I have seen many reworded, and nearly all hashed out in the forums, even in the short time I have been here.
Really interesting looking at the photos from the first challenge Road Signs Challenge 9 pics submitted. In 2 yrs the site has grown and evolved so much. Congrats to Drew, Langdon and those original members who had the vision.

Also - I went to click on a link to one of his portfolio images titled "My Girlfriend" and there was just an error message "This user never had a girlfriend" Hmmmm...
