Someone feel with me. I just shot on a large format 4X5 camera for the first time this afternoon and it's quite unsettling. Did I expose the film properly? Did I insert the film back all the way down? Was my film loaded with the emulsion facing the right way?

I dont like film :P But I feel like I need to process this film right away so I know if I screwed it up horribly or not. Hopefully I can at least salvage a half decent print out of it. *sigh*

I this day and age it's hard to imagine how people work with film cameras. It does seem like a frustrating process. I guess you just have to become comfortable enough with your camera to know how it's going to react to things. I think I'd go through hundreds of rolls of film if I used my film camera half as much as I use my digital.

Well the problem with this thing is every time you click the shutter it can cost between $1 and $3. Sheet film is not cheap.

I 24x36mm image contains about 24MP(or was it megabits?) of information, how much does that make for a 4x5? My rough calculation is about 345Meg. Enjoy the film, it is nerve racking, at least 35mm is for me, but I love it too.

I haven't used my film camera in two years, since I got my digital camera. I just attended a photo course that only deals with film cameras. This gave me a chance to pull out my film camera and get back to my roots. I felt ashamed, because I had almost lost touch with my old analog friend. Digital has spoiled me.

I am so digital that I've toyed (briefly) with the idea of selling my 35mm camera. Just can't bring myself to go that far, but, truth is, I haven't touched it since I bought the digital a year ago.
