Okay you've said about the flare at the top left, but I actually think it adds some much needed contrast to the photo, as you said. I very much like the way there are "bumps" in the water, with the bright light reflecting on them. I can't think of anything else to say at the mo, i'll come back later, when I'm a bit more awake :)
It's very well framed and although I find the light a little patchy it kinda works I think. My eye comes to rest on the leaves themselves and that's a good thing. I like the DoF. I think the most overriding thing that struck me when I saw it was that I couldn't figure out what the bright arcs around the ends of the leaves were. It took me a little while to mentally decode the image.

I had the same "problem" getting a handle on it, but that may be a good thing...it's too early for me to really decide. I think it would be interesting if, in these reviews, the original frame could be shown (at maybe at the end of the discussion?) so folks can see what was done as far as cropping, adjustment, etc.
