I feel so dumb asking for help but, I have a photo project that was suppose to be due tomorrow for a class I am taking but when the instructor saw my photo today he told me since I was the only one using a digital camera he would entend my deadline till Monday, in hopes that I could find someone who can help me. I know how to set a regular 35mm camera for infinity but can anyone help me with how to set a DiMAGE 7i? The markings for infinity aren't on it like a 35mm SLR. Yeah I am panincing here I thought I had the assignment done and done right but I was informed that I don't quite have hyperfocal distance master. Yeah I admit I haven't mastered my camera yet, I'm still trying to figure out things on it.

I believe that the D7i shows the focus distance in the lower right corner when you use manual focus. I was told that it will show the infinity symbol as soon as you have manually focussed it to infinity.

I don't have the camera and I have never seen or done it myself when I tested it, but do try. In the mean time some more experienced dpc friends can type their reply. :)

BTW: I hate the fly by wire focus ring of the 602. Much rather have a mechanical one!

Now I do feel dumb you are absolutely right I just tried it sitting here, thank you so much for the help. I think I was showed every automatic feature but they didn't show me a single thing about the manual focusing then I purchased it.
