Ok i was looking on ebay and i stumbled across this ...//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4687&item=7500330438&rd=1

Is this a rip off, and/or piece of crap?
Just wondering bc the buy it now price is just a little over $100

Samyang? Not a rip in the classic sense. Just junk.

Yeh, what nsbca7 said. I believe a recent quote went something like "lens had the optical properties of a turd..."
The thing is fixed f/8, and has only four elements. It's junk with a capital "J".

The seller, Cameta Camera, actually has a very high rating on resellerratings.com.

I bought my D70 from Cameta Camera on ebay and had a very good experience with them. Just so's ya know.

The lens would be great for a kid just learning how to use an SLR. I can't think of too many 12 year olds who wouldn't just love to have something like that. Or the paparazzi.
