Who is bored and up for a useless silly challenge?
Below is a photo where I have removed all the color except the skin tones. The challenge is to add color back into this photo and see how real you can make it look.
I would like to sneak in the real photo in the bunch and see if people can pick out the real one from the colored ones, if someone wants to be the person to sneak in the real one email me at swilson@hawaii.rr.com and I will email one person the original photo so that they can post it as their own.
I left the skin tones colored since this are hard to get right, if people want a harder challenge later I could post a photo where you need to get the skin tones right.
ok..here is my shot at it. This is a photo of my son at the State Fair of Texas this past summer. Took about 5 minutes to change this photo. It is such an easy thing to do, just sometimes time consuming on small pixel areas.

But we're not talking about selectively desaturating an image, but taking a black and white image and colorizing it. Specifically, using the photo provided.
I didn't know. I thought the photo was totally desaturated and using history brush to bring back the color. My bad for not understanding what was being asked..sorry.

I decided to spend a little more time at this, and also try a few different variations with color.

This has got to be the original surely?
If not the lovely work with the reflected colours in the water and the rocks which look great. I also like the flash of yellow on the front of the boat.
