Just found out I made it in the March 10th edition of the WSJ, in the Personal Journal section.
I tried online to see it and need a username and password and bugmenot had nothing to get in: Wall Stret Journal online, in the Article Archives, Search for previous WSJ articles text box, type in my name (Brad Petersen) and an article shows up Mechanics Try Online Sales Pitches (it was an interview I did by phone concerning how we stay in touch with our customers and send out service reminders and CSI surveys after the service all via email, in addition to online appointments)
They are sending me a copy - just wish I could see it now!
OK, let's review . . . BradP has 11 ribbons, nicely distributed through the blues, yellows and reds; he owns his own business in a world-class destination of sunshine and beaches; he drives 25 minutes through gorgeous hills to get to his work; it has been said he is incapable of taking a bad photo; he isn't hard on the eyes for us ladies; and now he's frickin' famous to boot.
I am going back to bed and staying there!
Just kidding, Brad - you know we love OUR BradP!!!!

Joking that he has a stalker or that the stalker is nice? LOL!
Well, this is great . . . . now everyone is reminded of my weird legs and shoes, and of course, in the ladies' room no less . . . . I think I had better stay home this year!!!!! lol Besides, I have to be home to answer the door for any interested stalkers . . . . .
there's one paragraph that quotes you in the article.
am i allowed to post it here?
I certainly see no reason why not, and if it is an issue, it can always be edited back out. I think the only thing that needs to be done is authorship (WSJ) needs to be noted.
Thanks!

In the interest of copyrights, most forums ask that you only post a couple of lines from any article, & then a link to it. Some however ask that you only post links, not sure what DP's stance is ?
"Customer loyalty to us is everything," says Brad Petersen of Petersen Automotive, a service repair shop in Escondido, Calif., that uses an automated e-mail system from ONstation Corp. to send out service reminders to customers. "If we don't stay on top of technology and what the customer's needs are, it's easy for them to be lured away by a coupon they see for somewhere else," he says.

That was sendsent to me, from the office of the Governor, as we were chosen to represent the automotive industry in the State of CA. We sent the request to Gov. Schwarzenegger and after he approved it, sent the official proclamation back, now taking up residence on our office wall.

Ah-Ha! I found a fault at last . . . you make typo's, too!!!!!!!! "That was send to me . . "
Mmmm, it's going to take a lot more than this I think! I say we take away your update button for a month and see how you hold up to real stress!! lol
I'm not going to lie, I considered stalking BradP for a while too...but ultimately, I decided against it. I think he lives far away from me. I'm still a big fan though.
