Please keep my friend's little girl in your thoughts tonight. Em is 10 years old and dying of cancer. She is home through end stages now and has not woken up yet today. Feeling terribly sad at the moment...
You never appreciate just how fortunate and lucky you are until you read something like that... my prayers and hopes are with you and your friends right now.
Yesterday my daughter fell on her head and had a mild concussion. Everything was OK after 1/2 hr, she checked OK. I lost a year of my own life right there.
Now that said, Jozi, I cannot even pretend to understand what your friends are going through. I can only offer my thoughts and hope that the world will come up with something soon that would help eradicate this awful disease and disasters like this would never happen again.
I just went to her website and the family has written that their little girl passed away within the last couple of hours. I can't imagine that kind of pain of having to say goodbye to a child.
this is just so very sad. I just dont understand why children die. There is something so very unfair about it. I am so grateful that i have 2 wonderfully healthy children. Bless her family.
My prayers go out to these poor people. Having gone through the heart wrenching process of losing a child, I know only too well the depth of their sorrows.
Mere words can't describe my feelings towards these unfortunate people, and the ache that revisits my heart every time I hear of someone's child dying. I can only hope and pray that their pain will abate quicker than mine did.
This situation cuts right to the heart. It is the time we wish we had the power to bend the hand of fate. Instead I am simply lost as to what to say. I know the pain for all involved and I pray that God will give courage to all. My deepest sympathy.
My prayers are said in silence for the little girl and her family. And I pray to God that his will be done and that their pain may be quenched and the burdens lifted in Christ name.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words. Emerald passed away last night, surrounded by the love of her family. She is finally free from pain. I am sad sad sad but relieved that Em is free at last too. Thank you for being here, thinking of her family.
My heart goes out to Em's family and friends, such a difficult time for them. Em is free now.......she'll live on in all the people she loved, the ones she touched with her courageous spirit.
I really do not know what to say, it is truely a very sad thing and right now all I can do is crying I feel so much for the parents at this time it must be unbearable. Tomorrow I will go to the shrine here in Japan and chant for her peacfull rest and to offer some strengh for the family at this time..
