I was just voting through the Emotion challenge, and came upon the triple photo.
So, my question is...my Nikon 5700 is capable of taking photos (with one push of the button) that has a series of 16 photos in it.
I have included one I just shot for example (so NO voting!!). What would be the legality of this?

I beleive that the rules state that anything that can be done within the didital camera itself is legal. If this combinationg of multiple images was done in the camera and not on the computer then it is legal.
Somebody corect me if im wrong but i think thats how the rule goes.

By my read the rules wouldn't prohibit this as it is done within the camera.. although it certainly seems to go against the spirit of what the rules try to avoid.

We had some debate over this some time ago and I didn't get a satisfactory answer. It wasn't a big enough issue to seriously pursue though. But since you brought it up again I will pose my question again. Would you be able to take your memory card directly to a photo developer that handles memory cards and have them create that multiple image photo or does it require the use of additional software on your computer to assemble the final photo? It was my understanding that it basically takes the images just like regular video and then tags the images to later tell your software how to assemble the photo. This would mean that it isn't completely done in camera. Either way is fine by me. I was just wondering because that's what I thought I read regarding cameras with this function.

Just have to press the button, download it onto the computer as a single file (tif, jpg) just like any of the others, and open it in any image editor.
I would think that I could have it printed anywhere. I use PSE II, and there is no special plugin, etc. that is installed.
