I'm using it, but I don't think it's a speed fix, it's a security fix. Besides, it was never slow to begin with.

Be aware that Mozilla recommend doing a clean install of 1.01 by deleting 1.0 after saving all extensions etc first. They say on their site that an auto-update will be available on or about march 7th that will write directly over 1.0 without uninstalling it first, and suggest that those who are not skilled with this sort of stuff wait until then to update.
