I am here sitting in complete disbelief. I got a wonderful comment from the Great John Setzler!!!! From the very first day that I joined I have admired his photos and I think he is a fantastic photographer. But all I can say right now about the comment he made on my entry in the emotion challenge is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel the same way. He is an excellent photographer, and when my pic is not doing well with everyone else and he gives it a good comment (and things to work on), I KNOW that the pic is better than what it is voted at. Thanks John!!

That picture was taken March 2, 2003, so that trail is kinda cold...
Thanks to everyone for the kind words :) I'm glad that you find my comments useful. I enjoy getting comments on my photos as well... When you are voting on everyone else's photos, keep in mind how much you enjoy getting comments and give out a few good ones every week :)
John...when I started the thread I didn't mention today was one of those days I would have liked to toss my camera out and give up. But it was when I logged on and found your comment that I remembered why I got back into the photography in the first place.
Lemme join the Setzler Fan Club. I added him as a fave photog my first day here. I looked at every "how this photo was done" and saw all his great work and great ideas, etc...definitely one of the most active, and best photogs here.

Well gee wanna postpone till first of May? LOL I am going to be in South Carolina for a few days (about 90 minutes from Hickory)...we could make it the first meeting of the Setzler fan club with "The Great One" present. =o)

I'm going to be staying in Columbia, but going to be all over the area including a day trip to Raliegh and a few hours in Fayetteville.
Columbia and Raleigh are about 3 hrs from here and Fayettenam is about 3.5 hrs...
Now you got me wondering what my wonderful host is up to cause I was informed we were going to be going to Hickory one day while i am there...hmmm even told will only take me 90 minutes to get there...
Fayettenam isn't that the truth, I cringe at the thought of even spending a few minutes there, let alone a few hours!
I'm going to Columbia to see some paintings that were done of me, and spend some time with a close friend. Then with his kindness I get lesson number 2 on fine art photography and he is taking me to Charlotte to meet a close friend who is in the art world.
Hickory is part of the trip cause they were telling me about some of the scenery around Hickory and told me to get brushed up on hyperfocal photos cause I am going to be in landscape heaven.
