According to the Rules, rotation of a photo is legal. Is it still legal if the final picture contains plain colour corners created to keep the picture rectangular? It would seem to me that this amounts to creating a strangely shaped border, and there has still been a lot of controversy regarding what is a legal border.
Excellent question, as there seems to be a rules conflict. One part allows canvas rotation, and I think the other part specifies a rectangular border.
When we discussing the rules change to allow borders. I did some experimenting to see what could be achieved using otherwise DPC-legal techniques, but I don't think there was ever a definitive ruling.

I remember when you did the site changeover, at some point we were not allowed to just check the box (that we'd read the rules) on the submission page without first clicking through the link to the rules page. Any way the site can keep track of the last time we've visited the rules page, and require the same thing whenever the page is updated? Or else/additionally, the submission page can include the date of the last rules update as part of the link text...
