For a firts try you did pretty good. I'm not saying I know much about this type of photog but for me I think it would work better with two changes. Lower softer light and keep the entire background the white sheet. Keep at it.

Got a retro-30's look going there. I can't say I find it personally appealing, but it's interesting.
