By now many of you know about the project I launched in August to raise funds for wildlife conservation by selling prints of photographs taken on a recent trip to Kenya, where I met David Shepherd, the founder of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. His emotive accounts of the problems faced and his passion about being part of the solution made me keen to find ways in which I could support the work of the foundation.
In the 6+ months since then sales have crept up and the project has now raised over $1126.
It's the last day today!!! I invite anyone who has not already looked at the prints in question to please have a peek and consider purchasing one or more prints today. All prints with DSWF in their title are part of this project.
After today these prints will no longer be on sale for the benefit of the David Shepherd Wildife Foundation.
Let me also say a huge THANK YOU to those who have bought a print and also to those who have taken the time to forward the information and link (//kavey.dpcprints.com) to friends and colleagues who might be interested.
In particular, thanks to those generous DPCers who have purchased prints already (Manic, Gordon, PaulMdx, Sonifo, Lenkphotos, BrownT, Jbsmithana, Laurielblack, Bod, Rscorp, Rex07734, RsHoldenSr, THE, Richterrell, Chiqui, Magnetic9999, Vivien, Alecia and Jacko plus those who have purchased anonymously).
I have also had generous individuals donate money directly to the project without the purchase of a print to the tune of over $500, not included in the total above.
And, most importantly of all, thanks to Drew and Langdon for their continued generosity and support. For those who don't know, they kindly agreed at the beginning of the project, to donate their share of the profits to the charity too.

It's just another 2 and a half weeks so hopefully people won't mind if this is topped a few times during that period.
Anyone who has ordered one and has already got it matted or framed and up on a wall somewhere, I'd love to see a picture of it in situ!
Manic, look fwd to it but... I didn't think you'd matted or framed your copies - just pinned 'em to your room door? What did you do with the ones you gave to your friends for Xmas?
I've not done anything much with the prints - the original is stuck to the door, and I don't think the other two have been framed or anything yet... Mind you, I don't have anywhere to hang photos or the like, so I'm stashing most of the prints I have so far.
Thank you to the DPCer who just bought 3 prints from the charity selection. The tracer in the referral lets me know it's someone who has read my posts here in the DPC forums (either this thread or my signature in other threads) but not who it is.

My girlfriend responded to the pic of the little lion by squealing "Oooooo Kitty Kat!" I will try and get one for her by the end of the month.
BTW - kudos on what you've done. It's really admirable!
