hi,

I am currently (and until feb. 14th) in Florence, Italy, with my parents. While they are taking Italian Classes, i roam the city and snap away with my camera.

I was wondering if there were foto-enthusiasts in Firenze who would like to shake a cofee or snack of some kind, talk foto and maybe go on a photographic trip for a day or something.

I speak English and French (understand a few words of Italian, Spanish and Japanese). Anyone interested, please contact me through here.

I am currently residing in a familly on Viale Reidi, while i use a computer to type this from the Italiano linguistica at the Plazza di Republicca.

If anyone have comments and or suggestions, you are also welcomed to post in this thread. I will check here every so other days.

Lucky you! Make sure you have dinner at La Grotta Guelfa, just off Piazza della Signoria, used to be very good (haven't been there in about 5 years). I'm sure you'll return with lots of great pictures, have fun!

I don't know about photo ops, but here's a place where the food is amazing: Le Mosacce, Via del Proconsolo 55/r, Florence.

It's kind of a locals hang out, and they're a little rough around the edges, but the food is to die for. It's communal seating and you drink from a communal wicker covered bottle of Chianti. They just kind of eyeball where it was when you sat down, and where it's at when you're done. Very cool ambiance. You must eat the Ribolita. Absolutely amazing. They also make a really good Osso Bucco. Yum!

Can't wait to go back one day.
