I just got it yesterday, just in time for my son's first birthday party. Of course, that means snapshots with the built-in flash, which pretty much means boring (to anyone outside my family) pictures.
Also, I'm having to relearn my workflow. Some of the tools I regularly used with the S40 don't yet work with the 10D, and the colors are all different.
Anyway, I'll try and get some shots taken outside today, and present them tonight.
In the meantime, a bunch of folks are posting example images at the Canon SLR forum on dpreview.com.
yeah ive seen the stuff being posted over at dpreview and alot of it is dissapointing. but i think that a lot of the first adopters (on there anyway) are not very experienced photographers :)
I'll take that as a compliment (whether you meant it as one or not)!
We have some hyacinths blooming out front that might make nice subjects for my first real photos.

And can someone add the new Canon 1Dt (the 50MP successor to the 1Ds). I'll post pics tomorrow.
I can't find any reference to such a camera anywhere. Can you get me a link?

It'd be worth it, though! And we'd all be lining up to buy 'em so we could submit our 640x480 challenge photos!
Well, if anyone's heard a recent Ritz Photo radio ad, they're advertising a Fuji model as having "two million megapixels." I'll have to get a tape-backup for sure now...
