Ben, I tried it. Annoying little program, it won't spell-check a block of text, it on ly runs on the fly, interrupts your flow of work. Plus of course I'm deaf and the beep don't reach me.
I had another one of these, something like it, a couple years ago, but it was so erratic I de-installed it.
Brilliant idea. I consider my writing a success if every word is close enough for spell check to bring up the right spelling first try. Otherwise ... I'm lost.
... or install dictionary.com's toolbar and get spelling, definition and such just a right click away.
It does not handle full blocks of text at a time, nor does it check in real time -- but that is what proof-reading is for (and one of these days I will learn to do just that). The toolbar does not have to be visible for it to be used, by the way.
Well i really do not care if some one make a spelling mistake as long as i understand what they mean
I think should understand that some people are not native english speakers
I see this kind of posting on many sites and i find it quite silly to demand proper english instead of appreciating the efforts of people who speak other languages put into communicating in english

This post is not about demanding proper English from others; it's about the original poster wanting an easy way to spell-check his own posts.
I'm a writer and an editor and I have arthritis and when I type in a hurry I hit lots of double keys and wrong keys. I have lost track of how many posts I've had to edit for spelling. It's embarrassing, and it has nothing to do with "proper English", it's just sloppy-looking.
I don't really care if someone else has typos galore as long as i can follow, but this is one nifty spell checker in Firefox :-)

That's funny, I just had to add the word "firefox" to the firefox dictionary :-)
