Just noticed a milestone (to me anyway) tonight.
I just entered the triple-digits tonight, and our one & only Alecia was the 100th person to choose me as a favorite photographer..
hehe, i noticed that! :) i had a few people i heve been meaning to add as faves (you being one of them, obviously), and just always got distracted or whatnot and never did it. but last night i sat down to do it...and when i saw your profile, i was like, yay, i'm kicking brad over the edge, fun! :) btw, i really like where you are starting to go with your photography...your new b&w's are awesome.
Don't worry, I'm only on 20 and I'm sure most of those are from friends...
I myself use the Favourite Photographer to mark not only those photographers whose work I admire but also friends on this site so I can track their work too. Of course, those two categories often intersect!

Mine aren't either... with the exception of Ganders (my husband) and Floyd (long time friend and the person who got me into DPC) I didn't know anyone here either but...
I have got to know people both through forum posts and in DPC Fanatics Chat... I find that a really nice place to be and it's not like we spend most of the time talking photography, though there's some of that... it's just a bunch of people who have come together because of one shared interest but have become friends on a more general level.
I enjoy it.
I have a number of very different social groups and I really enjoy the different things each provides me as well as the different ways I can contribute to each.
